Welcome to The Growing Robe. I’m DeeDee Cass.
It is my pleasure to share the essence of The Growing Robe. I was a young mom when I first met Hannah in my study of the Bible. The thought of the sacrificial giving of her son Samuel to the service of the Lord had a lasting impression on me. Hannah’s dedication to God and to her first-born framed faith parenting in my home. Perhaps that is why The Growing Robe became the connecting thread in my writing of Faith Feedings. Now I delight to impart The Growing Robe to parents who are poised to pass faith to their own families. By God’s grace, may The Growing Robe secure the conscience of your own beloved offspring for faith in God.
1 Samuel 2:18-19 But Samuel was ministering before the Lord–a boy wearing a linen ephod. Each year his mother made him a little robe and took it to him when she went up with her husband to offer the annual sacrifice.
Ministry to women and families has been the primary focus of my Christian service which formally began in 1980. As a ten-year Teacher-Trainer in the Evangelism Explosion ministry, I developed a keen sense for sharing my faith in everyday situations. My involvement since 1985 in the leadership of Community Bible Study has been invaluable to my understanding of the message of the Bible.
I have been privileged to serve as a Community Bible Study Teaching Director since 1996. The weekly Bible study and teaching preparation for this role have contributed to my development as a teacher, writer and communicator of faith principles.
God has used these two ministry opportunities in my life to cultivate my passion for inspiring and edifying faith in this generation and those that follow. Out of my love of knowing God through His Word and my understanding of the value of scripture memory I have authored The Scripture Code…unlocking spiritual wealth and Faith Feedings…12 Principles to nourish your child’s spiritual development. I earnestly pray that God will use my writing mightily for the building of His Kingdom and to His pleasure and glory.
One of my greatest joys is that my husband, Paul, shares my faith and my desire to strengthen the faith of others. Paul and I have a married daughter and son who have blessed us with five grandchildren. For several years my husband and I have served as dual caregivers in our home to his 103 year old father (recently deceased) and my 92 year old mother.
I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing
we have in Christ. Philemon 6
